TerraSonde was formed in 1997 under one simple premise - to create and deliver affordable, precise audio analysis products that are accurate, easy to use, and easy to understand.
TerraSonde began as a collaboration between Michael Grace and Andrew Smith. Michael is the founder and visionary of Grace Design and Andrew Smith is the original owner/operator of the highly successful Uptown Automation Systems, as well as former owner/operator of the renowned Colorado Sound recording studio.
The concept of creating a portable all-in-one acoustic testing and analysis device suitable for sound engineers and musicians came from Perlman. Through a combination of Smith’s software programming expertise and ingenious circuit board design by Grace came the Audio Toolbox V.1.
It satisfied and surpassed all expectations.
Since its inception, the Audio Toolbox has proven to be exactly the kind of hardware that sound professionals want – versatile, rugged and valuable. The Toolbox™ series of sound analyzers along with other TerraSonde audio products help many worldwide in their respective sound niches. Our products are used everyday in sound system design, research and development in the automotive, aerospace, consumer goods, government sectors, and live sound applications such as touring sound companies, theaters, churches and home audio. Our customers can be found in virtually every area of the sound and vibration industry and range in size from large global corporations like Bose, Dolby™ , Muzak™and IMAX™ to countless independent sound contractors and recording studios.
